2020 Harley-Davidson Touring Road Glide Special

The contemporary style of the Harley-Davidson Touring Road Glide Special makes it stand out in a crowd. It shares many design elements with the Road Glide, but it has a unique blacked-out look that sets it apart. This is the bike for riders looking for a classic touring design with a modern twist.

Paint Options

The paint options for the 2020 model start with Vivid Black, and Barracuda Silver Denim. You can also get it in River Rock Grey, Billiard Red, and the Special Edition Eagle Eye. This high-energy color features a dynamic eagle graphic that soars from the tank to the fairing. There are only 900 units offered worldwide.

If you like the two-toned look, you can choose from Scorched Orange with Silver Flux, Zephyr Blue with Black Sunglo, and the two special edition paint options Billiard Red with Stone Washed White, or Billiard Blue with Stone Washed White. These two have the Stone Washed White stripe running down the center, and they also display the classic Harley-Davidson #1 race logo.

Styling (Features)

The 2020 Touring Road Glide Special features an exposed chrome powertrain and chrome mechanical components with a machined look for the mufflers and exhaust tips. These are all blacked out with either a high-gloss or a matte black. Up front, there is a 19-inch blacked-out Prodigy wheel with deep-twisting spokes, and there is another blacked-out Prodigy 18-inch wheel in the back with a thicker tire. This back tire is partially hidden by large, hard, case saddlebags with a locking feature that you can open with just a single touch.

The stretched saddlebags give the bike a sleek look and provide plenty of room on the inside to store any essentials you need out on the road.

This bike has Reflex Linked Brembo brakes with standard ABS. The design prevents the wheels from locking when you brake, which helps the rider maintain control in straight-line braking situations.

The low profile of the Road Glide Special along with the extended frame and the high-performing front and rear suspension puts the rider in control.

This bike also comes with lots of technology to help you out on the road. The Boom! Box GTS infotainment system is designed for motorcycles and helps the ride stay connected with the bike. Get the subscription-based H-D Connect Service and connect through your cellphone. This allows you to check the bike’s vitals including the fuel level, and get alerts if someone tampers with it when you are out of sight.

Harley-Davidson offers several optional systems to help keep riders safe on the road. These include advanced braking, traction control systems, drag torque slip control, vehicle hold control, and a tire pressure monitoring system.

This touring bike gets its power from a Milwaukee-Eight 114 twin engine. It produces 124 pound-feet of torque and will get 45 mpg. This engine will get you 114 cubic inches of passing power, and it has the most displacement of any standard Harley-Davidson touring model. The primary drive train is a 34/46 ratio chain.
